Ear Lobe Hair

There are usually two different types of ear hair. The first type of ear hair is inner ear hair and it’s the most common. It typically grows from the edge of the ear canal out. Outer ear hair usually grows along the pinna or the edges of the outer ear.

The inner hair has a protective function, they protect the ear from entry of bacteria, virus and other debris. Hence it is not advisable to remove the inner hair. Almost all of us have fine vellus hair on the external ear or pinna. Thick, dark, long hair on the pinna, however, is more common in men. Most men tend to pluck or trim the hair on a regular basis to remove these thick hair on the external ears. However, the most preferred permanent solution to get rid of these unsightly hair is laser hair reduction treatment
